The Mississippi Wildlife Federation will release 50 specially tagged large-mouth bass into the Ross Barnett Reservoir. Each tagged fish caught between July 1st and July 4th is a prize winner, but one special fish, "The Big Catch" will pay you $25,000.00 if you are a member of the Mississippi Wildlife Federation.  And, as an added incentive, the Mississippi Wildlife Federation will draw one winner each week from those joining the Mississippi Wildlife Federation after May 29, 2006 to receive a gift valued at $250.00!

Are you Game? It's Simple.

  1. Join the Mississippi Wildlife Federation
  2. Grab your fishing gear and get to the Ross Barnett Reservoir
  3. Start fishing!
  4. If you catch a tagged fish between July 1st and July 4th call "Big Catch" hotline at TBA.
  5. Check the Mississippi Wildlife Federation's website at www.mswildlife.org every Friday  to see if you are the winner of the weekly drawing valued at $250.00!

Official Big Catch Rules

  1. Employees, agents, successors, and assignees of Sponsor, its advertising agencies and promotional companies involved in this Promotion, as well a family and household members of same, shall be ineligible to participate in the Promotion and shall be ineligible for any prize covered herein. The parties acknowledged that SCA is not liable for reimbursement of any prizes otherwise payable to Promotion who are in violation of this provision.
  2. Names and likenesses of Promotion winner(s) may be used by Sponsor and Sponsor's designee(s) for promotional purposes without further compensation to Sponsor or the Promotion winner(s).
  3. Winner is responsible for paying any and all taxes on any prize(s) won and must authorize the deduction of such taxes if any from the prize(s) to the extent required by the law.
  4. No prize will be awarded unless the fish and tag are present, still attached to each other.
  5. Specified fish must be caught in accordance with all state and federal laws.
  6. Grand prize winner must be a fully paid member of the Mississippi Wildlife Federation.
  7. Winning fish must be caught between July1, 2006 and July 4, 2006.
  8. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit and release.
  9. Winners must follow the procedure detailed in reporting the catch.
  10. Professional fishermen are not eligible to win.
