Stewpot Community Services Needs Your Help
First allow me to express the appreciation of Stewpot Community Services for the kind donations of deer meat we have received from many of you in the past. Many times I have not been quick enough to get the names of the hunters who have dropped off these donations, but know that we are indebted to your generosity.
Now, however, I must move into the category of supplication. Any and all donations of deer meat will be most appreciated. Here at Stewpot, and at our shelters – Matt’s House, Sims House and the Billy Brumfield House – we serve about 300 meals a day, each day of the year. Your donations help us greatly in this area of our ministry to the marginalized poor of the inner-city.
I regret that we are not in a position to process the meat. Given time, though, we might be able to beg assistance from an area meat processor.
We thank you for any consideration you may give our request, and please feel free to contact me should any questions arise.
