The 33rd Annual Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza, August 2-4 at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson will be the biggest and best ever. Sponsored by the Mississippi Wildlife Federation, this three-day event is the oldest and largest hunting and fishing show in Mississippi!  Hundreds of vendors will be on hand with the latest in outdoor products and a host of outdoor-related programs throughout the weekend will provide entertainment for the entire family.

Kid’s Day is Friday, August 2 when kids 12 and younger get in free and receive giveaways all day. The Kids’ Casting Area sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield is always a favorite as well as the handgrabbin’ tank, Southern Traditional Archery booth, and the BB shoot.

Jason Reynolds with his High Flying Retrievers, sponsored by Ameristar, and Terry Vandeventer with a close up look at snakes of Mississippi are all back for this year’s show. Come see Mississippi’s best bucks in the state’s largest big buck contest, presented by Hunters Harvest and have your buck scored for a chance at some great prizes. Test drive a Chevy truck at the Central Mississippi Chevy Dealers Ride and Drive course.

Frank Addington’s amazing archery program can be seen on the main stage as well as presentations by Will Primos and Paul Meek.

Show hours: Friday, August 2, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 4, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Admission: $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6 – 12, and children under 6 are admitted free.  A $20 weekend pass is available.
